Job Description

Step into a role where your passion for supporting students can truly make a difference. This contract paraprofessional position runs through the 2026-2027 school year, with an immediate start and assignment ending June 11th. The position is full-time (37.5 hours/week), with work hours scheduled based on building assignment—either 7:15am-3:15pm or 8:15am-4:15pm. Expect the opportunity to work in a variety of classroom settings, including 1:1 support for students in mild to severe self-contained, resource, or general education environments across all grade levels.
Responsibilities:
Provide dedicated support for students with cognitive or emotional impairments, including health aide duties such as diapering and toileting as needed Adapt flexibly to varied caseloads and classroom assignments based on district needs Foster student independence and inclusion during the school day Collaborate with teachers and specialists to implement learning and behavioral strategies tailored to each student Maintain confidentiality, accurate records, and open communication with school staff
Desired Qualifications:
At least 60 semester hours of college credit (official transcripts required), or Associate degree (or higher), or ETS Paraprofessional Assessment score of 460 or above, or
SAT:
480+ evidence-based reading/writing and 530+ math Experience working with students who have cognitive, emotional, or behavioral challenges is preferred Willingness to provide personal care for students Flexibility and patience in dynamic classroom settings Strong interpersonal and communication skills You'll thrive in this rewarding environment with the potential to influence students' lives daily.
