This full-time, contract opportunity near Lapeer, MI offers hands-on experience working with a diverse student population across all grade levels. Expect an impactful assignment starting as soon as possible, continuing through June 11. As a paraprofessional, you may be matched one-on-one with students in settings ranging from resource and self-contained classrooms to mild and moderate general classrooms. Flexibility is key; placements will consider your strengths and preferences. Youll assist students throughout their school dayyour nurturing nature will shine as you provide support similar to a health aide, including helping with diapering and toileting for students with cognitive impairments.

Key Qualifications:

At least 60 semester hours of college credit (verified by official transcripts), or Associate degree (or higher), or ETS Parapro Assessment (minimum score 460), or

SAT:

480+ in Evidence-Based Reading/Writing & 530+ in Math Adaptability to work with various classroom environments and student needs Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills

Responsibilities Include:

Offer direct academic and behavioral support to assigned students Help with daily living and personal care tasks in self-contained or resource classrooms Assist teachers in managing classroom activities and documentation Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment Enjoy working 37.5 hours per week, with shifts varying depending on building assignment.
