Behavior Support Specialist Male Only- PT E/o Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Position Summary Lotus Care LLC is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated individuals to provide one-on-one support for an adult male with developmental disabilities in his home and community. This position focuses on promoting independence, encouraging healthy choices, supporting daily routines, and helping the individual live a meaningful and fulfilling life. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Person-Centered Support

• Become an advocate for the individual served while promoting dignity, independence, and self-determination.
• Build a trusting, respectful relationship while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Support the individual's personal goals, interests, and daily routines.
• Encourage decision-making by providing options and supporting informed choices.
• Foster emotional well-being through patience, encouragement, and positive reinforcement.
• Serve as a mentor, coach, and positive role model. Activities of Daily Living Assist while promoting independence with:
• Meal planning and preparation
• Household cleaning and organization
• Laundry and linen changes
• Medication administration in accordance with company policy
• Personal hygiene prompts and support as needed
• Grocery shopping
• Budgeting and money management
• Daily scheduling and routines
• Healthy eating habits and nutrition
• Independent living skill development Community Integration Provide transportation and support during community activities, including but not limited to:
• Practices and tournaments
• Swimming and recreational activities
• Shopping trips
• Restaurants and coffee shops
• Parks and walking trails
• Medical appointments
• Seasonal festivals and community events
• Volunteer opportunities
• Recreational outings based on the individual's interests Staff are expected to actively participate in community activities and encourage meaningful engagement while promoting safety and independence. Behavioral Support
• Follow behavior intervention plans under the direction of the mulitdisciplinary team.
• Recognize behavioral triggers and implement proactive interventions.
• Utilize approved de-escalation techniques during moments of heightened anxiety or challenging behaviors.
• Remain calm, patient, and professional during behavioral situations.
• Assist with crisis intervention as necessary while following company policy.
• Accurately document behaviors, interventions, and outcomes. Health & Wellness Support the individual in maintaining overall health by:
• Encouraging hydration throughout the day.
• Supporting healthy food choices while respecting personal preferences.
• Encouraging physical activity and participation in recreational opportunities.
• Monitoring general health and reporting concerns promptly.
• Following physician, nursing, and support team recommendations.
• Assisting with medication administration and health-related documentation. Documentation & Communication Complete all required documentation accurately and before the end of each shift, including:
• Daily service documentation
• Medication Administration Records (MAR)
• Behavior tracking
