Monday- Friday Position begins August 24th 2026 through June 8th, 2027 (2026-27 School Year Calendar) Openings at Groveland, Clear Springs, Scenic Heights, and Minnewashta Elementary Schools
- shifts from 2:30-6:00 PM. Openings at Excelsior and Deephaven Elementary Schools
- shifts from 2:00-6:00 PM.
Wages and Benefits:
$22.60 (additional $0.60 split shift differential for those working a morning and afternoon split shift) Click here to view rates for this position. Rates can be found in Appendix B. 1. Provide support in by working one-on-one with a student identified as having difficulty participating in daily activities. 2. Assist student with necessary supervision during transitions, large and small group activities, and unstructured play. 3. Model appropriate intervention strategies. 4. Work collaboratively with the lead teacher and other staff in the team to ensure the safety and success of all children.Requirements:
1. Experience working with children with special needs or behavior challenges 2. Proven positive human relations skills with adults and students 3. Demonstrated ability to take direction and work as a team member 4. Demonstrated ability to take initiative 5. Evidence of friendly, out-going personality. 6. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality 7. Proven record of punctuality and responsibility. 8. Experience supporting student instruction in the classroom preferred.Physical Requirements:
Medium Work:
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
