Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Behavior Health Associate works closely with each of the clients and medical staff, on an individual basis aiding in the areas of, medication observation and medical appointment scheduling, as well as overall client health, in an intensive inpatient health care facility.QUALIFICATIONS
- Clean DMV record and/or in accordance with company insurance requirements.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Company provides a 2-week training program.
- Must have criminal background clearance.
- Must have a completed TB Test, CPR/First Aid Certification, and Health Screening.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Active license or certification in the medical field.
- Two years of experience in a medical profession, pharmacy, Mental Health, or Military Corpsman health setting
- CNA or MA Certificate highly preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Observation, documentation, audit functions, and record-keeping of all observed, inventoried, destroyed, and prescribed medications.
- Assesses patients with undiagnosed or diagnosed conditions and assists in ascertaining clinical medication management with the Nurse Practitioner and Medical Director.
- Observation, documentation, and record-keeping of client health status.
- Works closely with Nurses/Nurse Practitioners/Medical Director/ LMFT/ and Case Managers on client health status and presenting conditions.
- Manages complete Medication Observation Record Sheets and system.
- Sets all medical appointments for clients including medical, dental, and psychiatric as needed.
