Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

Previous experience as a paraprofessional or instructional aide in a school environment Comfortable providing 1:1 support to medically fragile students Willingness and ability to assist with toileting and diapering as part of daily responsibilities Understanding of, or willingness to learn, behaviors management strategies for students with unique challenges Experience with hoyer lifts is advantageous, though on-site training will be provided if necessary Empathetic, patient, and able to maintain professionalism in sensitive situations

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Offer personalized assistance to assigned students, ensuring safety, engagement, and access to learning activities Provide essential physical care, including toileting, mobility support, and hygiene tasks Attend and participate in team meetings, including weekly Tuesday morning meetings at 8:00 a.m. Implement strategies developed by educational and therapeutic staff to address behavioral and academic needs Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment in collaboration with classroom teachers and support staff Communicate effectively with school staff and families, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism This role offers a consistent schedule aligned with building hours, 8:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., with additional time for Tuesday meetings.
