Overview Join our vibrant school community as a Recess Monitor, where your energy and dedication will create a safe, engaging, and positive environment for students during their outdoor break times. In this role, you will supervise students during recess, promote respectful behavior, and ensure safety protocols are followed. Your proactive approach will help foster a welcoming atmosphere that encourages social interaction, physical activity, and fun for all students. Responsibilities Supervise students during outdoor recess to maintain a safe and orderly environment Promote positive social interactions and conflict resolution among students Implement behavior management strategies to address disruptions promptly and effectively Enforce school rules and safety guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries Assist with basic first aid when necessary and respond to emergencies with calm professionalism Support students with special needs or behavioral challenges in accordance with their individual plans Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and students to ensure smooth recess operations Qualifications Prior experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly desirable Knowledge of conflict management techniques and behavior management strategies First aid certification or willingness to obtain training upon hire Strong communication skills to interact positively with students, staff, and parents Ability to handle challenging situations with patience, empathy, and professionalism Experience working with students in classroom or recreational environments is a plus Familiarity with special education needs and inclusive practices is advantageous Join us in making a difference by creating a safe, joyful space where students can thrive during their break time!
