Duties Greet patients warmly and assist with intake procedures, including collecting patient histories and vital signs Prepare patients for examinations by documenting symptoms, medication history, and relevant medical information Support clinicians during therapy sessions or psychiatric evaluations by managing documentation and necessary supplies Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, administering medications, and taking X-rays when required Manage electronic health records (EHR systems) accurately, including documentation of ICD coding, medication administration, and treatment plans Assist with medical office management tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and maintaining inventory of supplies Support inpatient or outpatient behavioral health services by coordinating care activities and ensuring compliance with hospital protocols Skills Strong knowledge of mental health conditions, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology Experience working in hospital medicine, urgent care, outpatient clinics, or trauma centers—preferably Level I or Level II trauma center experience Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management for accurate documentation Hands-on experience with phlebotomy, medication administration, vital signs measurement, and intake procedures Familiarity with ICD coding standards for accurate diagnosis documentation Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically in high-pressure situations Knowledge of medical-surgical practices and emergency medicine protocols to support diverse clinical needs This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to advance their career in behavioral health support while making a meaningful difference in patients' lives.
