Job Description

DEFINITION
Utilizing the nurse process, the health center nurse is accountable for delivery of patient care in the health center during office hours. The health center nurse is responsible for: meeting the established Standards of Nurse Care, managing any assigned personnel and promoting collaboration among the disciplines. The health center nurse is accountable to the Health Center Medical Director, Executive Director, patient and family for all nursing behavior.
Patient population includes:
all age groups to include children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.
EDUCATION
Completion of a Medical Assistant program.
REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS
(IF
APPLICABLE
): Must provide a transcript or diploma of completion of a medical assistant program.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
One to two years nursing experience in a physician's office, preferably primary care.
