Position Summary:

The

ITS QMHA

is part of the Treatment Team. The QMHA supports children by providing one-on-one and group coaching, supervision, encouragement, and treatment appropriate support in a milieu setting while under the direction of a QMHP and the QMHA Lead. The QMHA assists in educational objectives in the classroom as they are available to do so. The QMHA is responsible for creating and maintaining each client's file with the supervision of the Lead QMHA and the QMHP. The QMHA keeps a daily log of each client's progress towards their objectives and completes regular data tracking.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in development, preparation, and delivery of treatment activities. Assist in organization and preparation of small group and individual activities on therapy days. Work cooperatively and assist the QMHP with addressing treatment objectives. Complete administrative tasks, record keeping, progress notes, data tracking and correspondence. Maintain a safe, healthy, and clean environment within the classroom and common spaces. Participate in daily pre-briefing and post-briefing meetings of the days' pertinent information. Participate in weekly staff meetings as well as scheduled psychiatric consultations and in-service training programs. Meet for supervision with the Lead QMHA or QMHP on a weekly basis for the initial 30 days, and at least monthly thereafter. Support and facilitate the philosophy of ITS and Old Mill Center. Maintain the confidentiality of all client information. Participate in ongoing program development. Maintain professional relationships with families. Maintains QMHA certification. The QMHA must submit 40 hours of continuing education every two years, which must include 6 hours of Ethics Training. They will also keep their certification file updated. Adapt routines and activities across the day to meet the needs of individual children. Assist with educational activities as needed after other responsibilities are met. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to be on your feet during the school day. Ability to sit and squat easily at a child's level, sit on the floor or in child-size chairs, get up and down from the floor safely, and be able to participate in "tag" games with a child, or quickly follow a child who has run from class. Other duties as assigned.

Pay:

$21.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
