This contract opportunity offers the chance to make a daily difference as you assist high school students with severe behavioral and safety needs, working alongside a committed team of educational professionals.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
At least 1+ years of paraprofessional experience in a school-based special education setting (PreK-12), specifically with students with autism and behavioral challenges Must live within 35 minutes of the work site and reliably commute daily (7:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours/week) Mandatory orientation week attendance (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, first week) Comfort and readiness to provide hands-on personal care (toileting, feeding, transfers) and behavior support Ability and willingness to complete all required state and district clearances by the designated date Qualified under Pennsylvania state requirements for paraprofessionals, or willingness to obtain certification within 60 days Two recent supervisor references from a paraprofessional/special education setting Personal ownership of a dependable vehicle Professional commitment to consistent, active engagement throughout the school day
