Job Description

Interim Healthcare of Scranton, Pennsylvania is now hiring School-Based Intervention Specialists for the school year 2026-2027. Covering local school district needs in Lackawanna County Competitive pay : $24 per hour Consistent schedule : Follows the school calendar with weekends, holidays (unpaid), and summers off Summer schedule: Evening and Overnight hours commonly offered in various settings such as group homes, personal care homes, and in-home care. Occasional daytime hours may be offered at summer camps, ESY, or on weekends. Verbal and Physical De-Escalation Training will be provided

School-Based Intervention Specialist:
Provide direct support to students with emotional and behavioral needs Serve as the monitor/support during crisis situations in the classroom Utilize de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviors and promote student safety Work collaboratively with teachers, aides, and behavioral staff Support the student's daily routines, including academics, transitions, and behavioral goals Minimum Qualifications for the
School-Based Intervention Specialist:
MUST have a Highschool Diploma or Equivalent MUST have a minimum of one (1) year working with children or young adults with behavioral, emotional, and/or personal care needs MUST have the ability to remain calm and take initiative during high-stress situations MUST have strong communication and teamwork skills MUST have the ability to commit to one full school year MUST be able to lift up to 50 pounds Interim HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
