- 1099 Position Seeking a self-motivated, compassionate and dedicated mental health therapist ( AZBBHE associate license required ).
In this role, you will provide high-quality counseling services to clients, focusing on their mental health and emotional well-being. This position is hybrid requiring both in-person availability in one of our Goodyear offices and telehealth availably.

- Stay on after obtaining independent licensure (we'll handle insurance credentialing for you) Opportunities to advance into supervisory positions Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
Provide counseling services utilizing various therapeutic techniques. Maintain accurate and timely documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA and AZBBHE standards. Implement behavior management strategies to support clients in achieving their therapeutic goals. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for clients. Stay informed about current best practices in mental health counseling and participate in ongoing professional development. Attend clinical supervision (provided free of charge). Building Your Caseload You will have the flexibility to manage your schedule and client load. You will be supported in gradually building your caseload over time, allowing you to create a caseload that aligns with your availability and interests. We offer non-independent/non-insurance credentialed therapists the ability to accept clients with insurance, making it easier to grow your caseload! Qualifications Valid license from AZBBHE (LAC preferred, any associate level license accepted). Experience in clinical documentation and patient assessment/diagnosis. Strong clinical skills in mental health counseling. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients of diverse backgrounds. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in counseling practice. Flexible schedule Application Question(s): This is a 1099 independent contractor position — meaning there is no base salary or guaranteed hours. Your income depends entirely on the clients you see. Building a full caseload typically takes 4-6 months, during which earnings will be limited. Therapeutic relationships are meaningful and disrupting them by leaving early negatively impacts client care and wellbeing.
