Job Summary Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Recovery Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing transportation services while ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients. This position requires a strong understanding of crisis intervention and behavioral health principles, as well as the ability to engage with individuals in a supportive manner. Responsibilities Safely transport clients to various locations as needed (Point A to Point B). Locations vary and trips can take anywhere between 1 and 12+ hours. Provide crisis intervention and support during transportation, ensuring clients feel secure and understood. Utilize mental health counseling techniques to engage with clients during rides, fostering a positive environment. Assist clients with any immediate needs or concerns related to their transportation experience. Maintain accurate records of trips, including client interactions and any incidents that occur during transport. Collaborate with social workers and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for clients. Participate in ongoing training related to addiction counseling, motivational interviewing, and crisis management strategies. Qualifications We require a minimum of one year of peer support or related recovery work. Ability to use and maintain personal vehicle. You must love to drive and have a valid driver's license. You must be able to navigate several required mobile apps. Previous experience in behavioral health, social work, substance use disorder or related fields is preferred. Strong skills in crisis management and intervention techniques. Familiarity with addiction counseling practices is a plus. Excellent communication and mentoring abilities to effectively support clients. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to work flexible hours as needed based on client schedules and requirements. Commitment to providing compassionate care and support to individuals facing challenges in their lives.
