Job Description

Make an impact supporting students in local elementary settings as a contract Paraprofessional specializing in ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis). This is a full-time, school-based opportunity running through June 2027, ideal for compassionate professionals seeking a rewarding and dynamic role in education.
Key Qualifications:
At least one year of direct behavioral support experience in educational, therapeutic, or similar environments High School Diploma or GED required Completion of a RIDE-approved Teacher Assistant Training Program (or exempt through a higher education degree) One of the following: ParaPathways Assessment with required scores, at least 48 college credits, or an Associate's degree or higher National BCI background check completedstrongly preferred Strong communication skills, adaptability, and dedication to fostering student growth
Primary Responsibilities:
Support students with behavioral needs on an elementary caseload as determined after the interview, matching your skills with student requirements Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Provide direct assistance to students with daily academic tasks, classroom participation, and social skills development Collect and document student progress data as needed Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all district and ethical standards This contract role offers consistent, full-time hours within a collaborative school setting, allowing you to develop meaningful relationships with students and staff while enhancing your skills as a behavioral support professional.
