Job duties:
CHILD SUPERVISION & SAFETY
Provide continuous supervision of 16 year old son with Autism, and 18 year old daughter with ADHD and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) within the home and during outside activities; Maintain a safe, structured, calm, and supportive environment; Monitor children for emotional distress, behavioral escalation, impulsive conduct, or unsafe behavior; Assist with de-escalation during behavioral or emotional episodes; Prevent wandering, unsafe interactions, or self-harming behaviors when necessary; Supervise recreational activities, homework time, meals, and bedtime routines; Accompany children to appointments, school-related activities, therapy sessions, and community outings when directed.
SPECIAL NEEDS SUPPORT
Assist children with executive functioning tasks, emotional regulation, focus, organization, and daily routines; Provide structured reminders for medication schedules, hygiene, school assignments, meals, and sleep routines; Reinforce behavioral plans and consistent household expectations established by the parent and healthcare providers; Help reduce emotional overstimulation and anxiety through routine management and supportive interaction; Provide patient redirection during episodes of defiance, emotional dysregulation, attention difficulties, or oppositional behaviors; Observe and report behavioral changes, emotional concerns, or unusual incidents to the parent.
HOUSEHOLD MANAGEMENT DUTIES
Perform general household cleaning and organization necessary to maintain sanitary and safe living conditions; Clean kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, and common spaces; Wash dishes, sanitize surfaces, and maintain household hygiene standards; Do laundry, folding, ironing, and linen changes; Organize household supplies, clothing, medications, and school materials; Assist with grocery shopping, errands, prescription pickup, and household inventory management.
MEAL PREPARATION & NUTRITION SUPPORT
Prepare daily meals and snacks for children and household members; Follow dietary instructions, food sensitivities, and nutritional guidelines provided by the parent; Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in food preparation areas; Assist children during meals when supervision or encouragement is needed.
OTHER SUPPORT
Provide non-medical household assistance to support a medically compromised parent experiencing physical limitations; Assist with physically demanding household tasks that the parent have difficulty performing; Help maintain stability and continuity of care within the home environment; Provide additional supervision of children during periods when the parent is medically fatigued or attending medical appointments. A single workweek will be used to compute wages. Workers will be paid every week after work begins. Any deductions from the worker's paycheck will required by law. Workers will be provided with or reimbursed transportation and subsistence from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer, whether in the U.S. or abroad, to the place of employment, if the worker completes 50 percent of the period of employment covered by the job order. Daily transportation will be provided or reimbursed the cost of return transportation and daily subsistence from the place of employment to the place from which the worker resides. Workers will be provided with daily transportation to and from the worksite in compliance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations. Daily subsistence will be at least $16.78 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. The employer will reimburse the worker in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the worker (but need not include passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker). Applicants can send applications/ resumes directly to the nearest SWA office
