In this role, you will assist in conducting behavioral assessments, implementing behavioral interventions, and collecting data to inform treatment plans. Responsibilities Support behavioral health professionals in conducting intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations for individuals with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities Assist in developing and implementing positive behavior support strategies tailored to each individual's needs Collect, record, and analyze data related to behavioral interventions and patient progress using medical records and documentation standards Observe and document patient behaviors during therapy sessions, ensuring accurate medical documentation and adherence to HIPAA regulations Participate in patient care activities, including behavioral interventions and support strategies designed to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors Collaborate with team members on patient assessment processes, ensuring comprehensive understanding of each individual's needs Maintain confidentiality of all medical records and sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines Qualifications Currently enrolled in a degree program related to psychology, special education, social work, or a similar field Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities preferred but not required; a strong desire to learn is essential Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and positive behavior support strategies is highly valued Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation procedures, and data collection methods is a plus Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality Passion for supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and enhancing their quality of life This position provides an exciting platform for aspiring professionals eager to develop their skills in behavioral health while contributing positively to the community.
