Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and dependable Medical Front Desk Associate to join our outpatient behavioral health practice. Many of our patients have been with us for over a decade, so exceptional customer service, professionalism, and teamwork are essential. This role includes both front- and back-office responsibilities, ensuring efficient clinic operations while providing excellent patient care and administrative support. Responsibilities Greet patients and provide outstanding customer service. Register new patients and complete intake documentation. Obtain referrals and prior authorizations. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments. Collect copays, balances, and process patient payments. Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR). Answer and route phone calls, emails, and patient portal messages. Process prescription refill requests. Obtain and document vital signs, height, and weight when applicable. Coordinate communication between providers, patients, pharmacies, and insurance companies. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and clinic policies. Perform general administrative duties to support daily clinic operations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum few monthes of medical front desk experience preferred . Knowledge of medical office software and EMR systems preferred. Experience with insurance verification, prior authorizations, referrals, and medical scheduling preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to multitask while maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications. Ability to remain calm, courteous, and patient when interacting with individuals experiencing stress. Clear background check required.
