Job Description
Baylor University seeks an Assistant Professor in Mental Health, Tenure-Track, Social Work to start August 1, 2027. Details for this position can be found at https://apply.interfolio.com/188778 . Description Baylor University Diana R. Garland School of Social Work seeks to fill a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in mental or behavioral health. Rank is at Assistant Professor, and the position starts in August 2027. Successful candidates for this faculty position will contribute to the school's mission of educating students in Garland School programs and advancing research in mental health, while also engaging in meaningful service and collaboration with colleagues in the school. This position is based in our Waco residential program. Candidates should possess an earned research doctorate, an enthusiasm for the mission of the Diana R. Garland School of Social Work, a demonstrated ability to pursue a rigorous research agenda with commensurate publications and external funding with emphasis on mental health research. Preference is given to candidates presenting a capacity for effective teaching and student service/engagement and evidence of collaborating with stakeholders and capacity for leadership in research, teaching and service activities. An MSW from a CSWE-accredited program and a minimum of two years post-MSW professional experience is preferred. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
