A Mental Health Assistant provides basic care and assistance with daily activities to patients with mental illnesses or cognitive disabilities. Helps patients dress and eat, monitors patients' well-being, and restrains patients if they become physically violent. Works in hospitals or mental health care facilities.
General Statement of Duties The Clinic Aide in a public school supports the daily operations of the school health office by providing basic care to students and assisting the school nurse. The Clinic Aide works collaboratively with school staff, administrators, and healthcare professionals to promote student well-being and safety. Essential Duties Assist with student check-ins Monitoring student health needs Administering first aid Documenting student visits and treatment Regular attendance is required Additional Information This is a temporary position working no more than 29 hours per week.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds frequently and 25 to 50 pounds occasionally, and may assist, move, or restrain students when required to intervene in student safety issues. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, lift, walk, stand, and hear.
