Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a TMS & Spravato Technician / Mental Health Medical Assistant, where you will play a vital role in delivering innovative mental health treatments and compassionate patient care. TMS & Spravato Technician / Mental Health Medical Assistant to join our psychiatry practice. Duties Assist with administering Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy and Spravato (esketamine) treatments under physician supervision, ensuring safety and adherence to protocols Monitor vital signs before, during, and after treatments; document findings accurately in electronic health records (EHR) Support patient intake processes, including collecting medical histories, conducting assessments related to mental health and behavioral care, and updating medical records Administer medication as prescribed, including nasal spray formulations like Spravato, following all HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality Utilize de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention skills to manage behavioral challenges or agitation in patients with autism spectrum disorders or other neurodevelopmental conditions Support behavior intervention plans using applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and behavior management strategies tailored for individuals with disabilities or developmental delays Maintain a clean, organized treatment environment; ensure all medical equipment is functioning properly; assist with EMR/EHR management and accurate medical documentation Key ResponsibilitiesTMS & Spravato Responsibilities Assist with the day-to-day operation of TMS and Spravato treatment services. Medical Assistant Responsibilities Obtain and document vital signs and other required patient information. Assist providers with patient care and clinical procedures within the scope of training and applicable regulations. Prepare examination and treatment rooms. Maintain accurate and organized patient records. Assist with medication-related workflows as directed by licensed clinical staff. Maintain appropriate infection control and safety standards. Coordinate effectively with providers and other members of the clinical team. Answering phones and assisting patients with questions. Scheduling and coordinating patient appointments and treatment sessions. Managing patient communication and follow-up. Assisting with insurance verification, authorizations, and documentation as needed. Tracking TMS and Spravato treatment schedules and patient attendance. Maintaining organized patient and office records. Assisting with office workflow and daily operations. Monitoring supplies and communicating when inventory needs to be replenished. Assisting with administrative projects and practice initiatives. Identifying workflow problems and taking initiative to improve efficiency. Supporting the practice manager and providers with day-to-day operational needs. Helping ensure that the office runs efficiently, professionally, and on schedule. Administrative Responsibilities This position will also have a significant administrative component, including: Answering phones and assisting patients with questions. Scheduling and coordinating patient appointments and treatment sessions. Managing patient communication and follow-up. Assisting with insurance verification, authorizations, and documentation as needed. Tracking TMS and Spravato treatment schedules and patient attendance. Maintaining organized patient and office records. Assisting with office workflow and daily operations. Monitoring supplies and communicating when inventory needs to be replenished. Assisting with administrative projects and practice initiatives. Identifying workflow problems and taking initiative to improve efficiency. Supporting the practice manager and providers with day-to-day operational needs. Helping ensure that the office runs efficiently, professionally, and on schedule. Medical Assistant experience strongly preferred. Experience working in a psychiatry, behavioral health, or mental health setting preferred. Previous experience with TMS and/or Spravato is highly desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team. Strong computer and documentation skills. Ability to learn new systems, workflows, and treatment protocols quickly. Professional appearance and demeanor. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Prepare patients for treatments and ensure treatment protocols are followed accurately. Monitor and document patient status throughout treatment sessions according to practice protocols. Maintain a safe, professional, and supportive environment for patients receiving psychiatric treatments. Complete required clinical documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Communicate patient concerns or changes in condition to the appropriate clinical provider. Maintain treatment areas, equipment, and supplies. Follow all office policies, safety procedures, and applicable clinical protocols. Provide compassionate and professional interaction with patients who may be experiencing significant mental health symptoms. Experience Background in social work, addiction counseling, or behavioral health services involving substance use disorders or behavioral management Proficiency in vital signs measurement, medical terminology, medical records management, and electronic health records (EHR) systems Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in de-escalation techniques or behavior analysis are a plus Strong communication skills for client interaction and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives while working in a supportive environment that values your growth and dedication.
