Job Description

Position Title:
Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)
Location:
El Dorado Hills, CA 95762
Schedule:
Full-Time Available - AM and Swing (Mixed Schedule)
Compensation:
$20 - $23 per hour (depending on experience)
Position Summary:
The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) plays a key role in supporting the safety, structure, and overall therapeutic environment of clients receiving care in a detox and residential treatment setting. The BHT works closely with the clinical and medical teams to monitor clients, assist with daily routines, and ensure a secure, recovery-focused atmosphere during all phases of treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor clients through regular rounds and maintain awareness of their behavior, safety, and needs Conduct and document room checks, client observations, and shift reports accurately and on time Support clients with daily activities, including hygiene, mealtimes, and transitions between groups Assist with new client admissions, orientations, and discharges Escort clients to appointments or off-site programming when needed Respond to crisis situations and escalate concerns to clinical/medical staff appropriately Maintain a clean, orderly facility environment and report any safety or maintenance concerns Enforce facility rules and boundaries while maintaining a professional and supportive approach Support group activities, meal times, and community responsibilities as directed Work collaboratively with the treatment team to provide consistent, compassionate care
Shifts Available:
AM Shift:
7:00 AM - 3:30
PM Swing Shift:
3:00 PM - 11:30
PM Qualifications:
Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience in a behavioral health, detox, or residential treatment setting preferred RADT certification or equivalent CPR/First Aid certification required Strong communication and observation skills Ability to remain calm in high-stress or crisis situations Familiarity with EMRs (e.g., Kipu) is a plus Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed

$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
