Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Marine Service Technician to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on customer boats. The ideal candidate has hands-on marine repair experience, strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently. This position also involves moving boats and equipment, assisting with facility maintenance, and ensuring all work is completed safely and accurately. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on boats and marine engines. Complete oil changes, winterization, impeller replacements, battery maintenance, and other marine services. Inspect boats, diagnose mechanical issues, and identify necessary repairs. Locate and order parts needed for maintenance and repairs. Inspect batteries, lights, tires, fuel levels, and safety equipment. Safely move and maneuver boats, trailers, and RVs using forklifts and other equipment. Perform quality checks and document completed work. Clean and prepare customer boats as needed. Assist with general facility maintenance and maintain a clean, safe work environment. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or GED. Valid California driver's license and clean driving record. Minimum of 3 years of hands-on boat repair and maintenance experience. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to perform routine marine maintenance and identify mechanical issues. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet throughout the workday. Ability to work weekends, or overtime when needed. Must pass required background check and drug testing.
Preferred:
Experience servicing and repairing Mercury or Yamaha marine engines. Forklift operation experience. Experience towing and maneuvering boats and trailers.
Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour
