Support Clients in RYSE-ing to Their Full Potential At RYSE Wellness, our Behavioral Health Associates (BHAs)/ Healthcare Technicians provide compassionate, hands-on support that empowers clients on their healing journey. You'll help create a safe, structured environment while working alongside clinical and medical staff to bring lasting change. Responsibilities As a Behavioral Health Associate (BHA), you will: Provide direct support and supervision to clients in a residential mental health setting Monitor client safety, conduct regular check-ins, and document observations in the EMR system (KIPU) Support clients with daily routines, including meals, groups, and scheduled activities Assist clinical and medical staff in carrying out treatment plans Encourage healthy coping skills and model appropriate behavior De-escalate situations using trauma-informed, non-confrontational approaches, with specialized training provided by our clinical team Facilitate safe transportation of clients to and from appointments, activities, and admissions — including picking up new clients from hospitals or other facilities when needed Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, incidents, and behaviors Ensure compliance with all safety, confidentiality (HIPAA), and facility policies Contribute to a supportive, compassionate environment that fosters client healing and growth In addition to BHA responsibilities, Healthcare Technicians will: Support and observe client medication self-administration according to facility procedures. Obtain and document vital signs and other assigned healthcare monitoring. Complete accurate medication-related documentation and MAR entries in KIPU. Assist with medication inventory, counts, organization, and refill tracking. Assist with urine drug screens, specimen collection, and approved point-of-care testing within training and facility procedures. Assist with processing and documenting provider orders under established Healthcare Department procedures. Support healthcare admission and discharge tasks, including gathering medication and healthcare information. Coordinate assigned pharmacy, laboratory, and outside medical appointment tasks. Promptly report abnormal findings, medication concerns, client-reported symptoms, or changes in condition to the Nurse. Requirements High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred, or current enrollment in coursework related to psychology, social work, behavioral health, or a similar field Minimum of one (1) year of full-time experience (or equivalent part-time) providing direct services to individuals with mental health or developmental disabilities If experience is less than one year, a documented plan of supervision and in-service training will be provided to ensure qualification Must be at least 18 years of age LiveScan fingerprinting must be completed, and clearance from the State of California must be granted prior to beginning employment Completion of required health screening and proof of a current Tuberculin (TB) test, or ability to obtain within seven (7) days of hire Valid CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to/onboarding) Red Cross Water Safety Certification, or ability to obtain within seven (7) days of hire Must pass a criminal background clearance Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed Valid Class B driver's license (or ability to obtain if position requires client transportation) Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations

Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
