  • Napa Psychology Department, Cognitive Rehabilitation Program is currently accepting applications for a permanent full time Psychiatric Technician (Safety).
Under the supervision of the Senior Psychologist Supervisor and Senior Psychologist Specialist(s), the Psychiatric Technician organizes and aids in the facilitation of social cognition groups, and computer based cognitive rehabilitation programs. Further, the psychiatric technician will provide daily contact with patients participating in the cognitive rehabilitation program to support clinical progress related to patient goals outlined by the program. The Psychiatric Technician provides a basic level of general nursing, behavioral, and psychiatric nursing care to patients, in accordance with policies, procedures and regulations, within a State Hospital environment. The Psychiatric Technician, pursuant to their scope of practice, and in collaboration with the health care team, ensures the delivery of appropriate and timely health care to patients, and provides support to the care team for daily health care operations. The Psychiatric Technician communicates effectively with patients and other members of the health care team. The Psychiatric Technician is responsible for addressing the ongoing needs of patients, working with the members of the larger health care team, and promoting the efficient, appropriate, and cost-effective use of health care resources.
