Job Description

For more than 16 years, North Valley Behavioral Health has provided 'Patients First' care. We are partnering with Placer County in a new project "Lotus Behavioral Health Crisis Center" to provide crisis and supportive services to community members in a non-licensed, non-residential capacity. The goal is to provide a safe crisis respite for up to 48 hours providing linkages with appropriate mental health, substance use, housing and other resources. The center is considered an intermediate level of support for those experiencing a mental health crisis.
What's Available:
Saturday/Sunday; 4:00pm - 12:30am
ONLY Minimum Position Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED is required. AA or BA in psychology or related field is strongly preferred.
  • Must have two (2) years' of full-time or its equivalent experience in a behavioral health related field providing direct mental health services. Education cannot be substituted for experience.
  • Must have or complete within 7 days of hire a certificate of completion from the County Core Skills Training.
  • Experience in psychiatric rehabilitation, preferably in a social rehabilitation environment is preferred.
  • Upon hire or before, must complete tuberculosis clearance and health screening to determine fitness for duty. Annual tuberculosis clearance or health screening may be required.
  • Must obtain and maintain First Aid, CPR, crisis intervention training certification, if applicable.
  • This position may require driving. Other requirements/responsibilities will be discussed at interview.
