Responsible for helping to facilitate clients through their daily programming schedules in a residential substance abuse setting. 2. Monitoring and documenting self-administration of medications for clients in detoxification.
Samples of Duties:
Monitors client's behaviors and assist client's needs during shift. Works directly with clients receiving detoxification services and monitors progress. Charts client vitals per physician order. 3. Monitors self-administrated medications with documentation as directed. 4. Conducts supportive one-on-one meetings with clients to help resolve issues. 5. Conducts emergency procedures as deemed necessary and crisis intervention with immediate notification to Program Director. 6. Ensures safety of all clients through regular house checks and client rounds. 7. Completes nightly shift log and conducts morning shift report. 8. Conducts UA drug and alcohol screening as deemed necessary. 9. Assists with community outings, 12-Step meetings and transportation as needed. 10. Facilitates accountability for clients in maintaining room and facility cleanliness. 11. Participates in staff meetings, team meetings and in-service trainings. 12. Maintain ethical boundaries with clients.
Minimum Qualifications:
Two or more years of verifiable experience in residential/outpatient substance abuse treatment. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Valid State of California Driver License. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and guidelines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. CPR and First Aid certification. Critical thinking and problem solving skills. RADT certified substance abuse technician for residential detox facility. Proficient in KIPU.
