We are dedicated to providing high-quality, client-centered care to individuals navigating mental health challenges. Our experienced team is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and therapeutic environment where clients can stabilize, build healthy routines, and begin their path toward wellness. Position Overview Connections Mental Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Technician to provide direct care and clinical support to six (6) clients in a residential mental health treatment setting. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary treatment team. This role is responsible for medication administration, client observation, clinical documentation, safety monitoring, and supporting the day-to-day needs of clients within the residential program. Key Responsibilities Administer medications in accordance with physician orders, facility policies, and established protocols Accurately document medication administration and client information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Observe, monitor, and report changes in client behavior, mental status, symptoms, and overall condition Complete client intake assessments and required admission documentation Conduct routine safety checks and maintain a safe, structured residential environment Support clients with daily routines, activities, and adherence to treatment program guidelines Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential clinical documentation Communicate client concerns, behavioral changes, and relevant updates to supervisors and members of the interdisciplinary treatment team Follow facility policies, safety procedures, medication protocols, and applicable regulatory requirements Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and uphold client confidentiality at all times Assist with light physical and operational tasks as needed to support the residential program Qualifications Required Psychiatric Technician experience or equivalent applicable licensure High school diploma or GED Ability to obtain and maintain a current TB test/clearance Ability to obtain and maintain current CPR and First Aid certification Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and accurate data entry Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and perform light physical tasks associated with the position Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a residential mental health, behavioral health, psychiatric, or treatment facility Experience with medication administration and medication documentation Experience supporting clients with mental health and behavioral needs Familiarity with residential treatment procedures, client safety protocols, and clinical documentation standards What We're Looking For We are looking for a Psychiatric Technician who brings professionalism, consistency, and compassion to client care.
