Full-Time | 5 x 8s | Primarily Day Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) | Every other weekend required Join a Leading Behavioral Health Facility We're hiring an experienced Behavioral Health Technician (LVN/LPT) for a psychiatric hospital in Vallejo, CA . This role involves providing direct patient care in an inpatient behavioral health setting while working alongside a multidisciplinary psychiatric team.
Please Note:
This position requires an active LVN/LPN or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) license. Mental Health Technicians without one of these licenses will not be considered. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in an inpatient psychiatric setting. Monitor patient behavior, safety, and mental status. Utilize therapeutic communication and de-escalation techniques. Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient observations. Record vital signs, intake/output, and behavioral documentation. Participate in therapeutic and recreational activities. Work closely with RNs and psychiatrists to deliver quality patient care. Requirements Active California LVN/LPN or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) license (Required) Minimum 1 year of psychiatric inpatient experience required. Current AHA BLS Certification
CPI/TEAM
Certification preferred (training available onsite) Experience in acute psychiatric or behavioral health settings preferred Strong communication and crisis intervention skills
Pay:
$39.00 - $42.00 per hour Application Question(s): Are you comfortable working every other weekend and rotating schedules if needed?
