Successful completion of at least two years of graduate study (36 semester hours or 54 quarter hours) concentrated in a field that is directly related to the work of this position such as health, agricultural, biological, physical sciences. or other directly related subject matter. Physical Demands :

The work requires some physical exertion. Considerable time is spent standing and walking while performing laboratory analysis. Some outside work is required in collecting samples and river monitoring. Periods of walking, hiking, lifting and carrying of objects of up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment :

Work in the lab involves handling acids, bases, toxic chemicals and pathogenic microorganisms. There is also exposure to pathogenic organisms in the field operation with wastewater treatment. Working elevations will range from 1,700-10,000 feet above sea level.
