Responsibilities Assist in conducting intake assessments and develop personalized care plans for clients with diverse needs, including autism spectrum disorders and neurodevelopmental disorders Support clients through behavior intervention techniques, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and de-escalation strategies to promote safety and positive outcomes Monitor vital signs and administer medications accurately following medical documentation protocols while maintaining strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations Engage in crisis management and crisis intervention to effectively respond to behavioral emergencies or distress signals Document all client interactions, progress notes, and medical records using electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and attention to detail Provide client communication that fosters trust, understanding, and engagement during mental health and behavioral care sessions Support social work activities by assisting with client education, skill-building exercises, and coordination of care with other healthcare professionals Requirements Experience working with children, youth, or individuals with disabilities including developmental disabilities and substance use disorders Knowledge of mental health conditions such as PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) and experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or with neurodiverse needs Proficiency in medical terminology, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and medical documentation practices Ability to utilize de-escalation techniques effectively in high-pressure situations; experience in crisis management is highly valued Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) or electronic medical records (EMR) systems; understanding of HIPAA compliance and maintaining patient confidentiality is essential Certification in first aid and CPR; experience working within special education or addiction counseling settings is a plus Strong communication skills combined with a compassionate attitude toward clients' mental health and behavioral needs Join us to be part of a passionate team committed to empowering individuals through compassionate care.
