Overview:

The Grace House is a licensed Therapeutic Group Home located in Jeanerette, Louisiana. We serve adolescent boys referred through DCFS and Medicaid-funded programs who need more than just a place to stay—they need stability, guidance, and real support. Our mission is to restore dignity and direction through individualized care, skilled clinical services, and a safe, nurturing home environment. This position requires empathy, consistency, and resilience. This is a part-time position averaging 20-30 hours a week. Monday-Friday, 2pm-10pm are the primary hours for this position. Weekends are rotating, 7A-7P or 7P-7A.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required. at least 2 years experience working with youth in group home or mental health facility Must complete required training (CPR, Mandt/Handle With Care, etc.). Must pass background check and drug screen/TB test. Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and overnights.

Duties:

Supervise and engage youth in daily routines, activities, and chores. Ensure resident safety and maintain structured environment. Document shift notes, behavior reports, and incident logs accurately. Assist with meal prep, cleaning, and transportation as needed. Implement behavior support strategies and de-escalation techniques. Support therapeutic goals outlined in treatment plans.
