Maintains records of patient condition and activity, including vital signs, eating habits, and behavior Organize, supervise, and encourage patient participation in social, educational, and recreational activities. Helps to create a safe and therapeutic environment for clients. Applies mental health principles in all relationships with clients. Develops, encourages participation in, and supervises groups and individual program activities for clients. Serve meals, and feed patients needing assistance or persuasion. Provide patients with assistance in bathing, dressing, and grooming, demonstrating these skills as necessary. Keeps clients and their beds, clothing, and living area clean. Clean and disinfect rooms and furnishings to maintain a safe and orderly environment. Aid patients as necessary to prevent injury. Receives visitors and encourages their interest in the clients' welfare; escorts clients on the hospital grounds, to and from the community.
