Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of others? As a Therapeutic Safety Technician (TST) , you will play a vital role in supporting individuals served while helping to create a safe, trauma-informed, and recovery-focused environment. Working as part of an interdisciplinary clinical team, you'll ensure safety, provide meaningful engagement, and support the therapeutic process both at the site and during community visits. What You'll Do Perform a wide range of safety and support duties throughout the site. Actively engage with individuals served to promote well-being and monitor the environment. Participate in therapeutic reviews and contribute insights to treatment goals. Support crisis intervention and safety plans developed with the treatment team. Observe and de-escalate behaviors using trauma-informed approaches and verbal guidance. Provide supportive oversight during off-site activities such as medical visits and court appearances. Monitor environmental safety by inspecting equipment, systems, and structures. Respond to emergencies with the clinical team, ensuring the safety of individuals served. Use verbal de-escalation techniques to reduce disruptive behaviors, relying on physical interventions only when absolutely necessary.
Education, Experience, and Licenses/Certifications Education :
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Experience :
Prior work in a healthcare or mental health treatment setting with a focus on safety (preferred). Why Join Us?
