This role is ideal for a seasoned BHT or a current Lead looking to take the next step in leadership. The Lead BHT will provide direct client support while also overseeing daily BHT operations, ensuring high-quality care, safety, and adherence to program structure. This individual will serve as a key liaison between clinical, operations, and support staff.
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday, 9 p.m.-7 a.m. Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Oversight Supervise and support BHT staff during assigned shifts Assist with scheduling, shift coverage, and call-offs Provide training, onboarding, and mentorship to new BHTs Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and clinical programming Act as point-of-contact for BHT-related issues and escalation Client Care & Milieu Management Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for clients Provide direct supervision and support to clients in PHP/IOP programming Assist with client check-ins, monitoring, and daily routines Support de-escalation and crisis intervention as needed Promote engagement, accountability, and community within the program Operations & Documentation Ensure accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and incidents Complete shift reports, logs, and hand-offs Monitor attendance, client movement, and program compliance Assist with transportation coordination or oversight if applicable Maintain facility cleanliness, organization, and readiness Collaboration Work closely with Clinical, Admissions, Nursing, and Case Management teams Communicate client concerns, behavioral issues, and progress updates Support program initiatives, groups, and structured activities QualificationsRequired 2+ years of experience as a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) or similar role OR prior experience in a Lead BHT / supervisory role Experience working with substance abuse and/or co-occurring populations Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Experience in PHP, IOP, or outpatient behavioral health settings CPR/First Aid certification Relevant certifications (e.g., RBT, CNA, or behavioral health certifications) Core Competencies Leadership & team development Crisis intervention & de-escalation Organization & accountability Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to lead by example in a client-centered environment
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
