Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our Men's 3.1 Residential Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Treatment program. The BHT plays a critical role in supporting clients in early recovery by providing supervision, structure, crisis support, and encouragement in a therapeutic residential setting. This position requires professionalism, strong boundaries, empathy, and the ability to work effectively with individuals in recovery from substance use disorders. Responsibilities Provide direct care, supervision, and support to residents in a 3.1 clinically managed low-intensity residential setting Monitor client activities to ensure safety and compliance with program rules Conduct routine room checks, safety checks, and facility rounds Facilitate or co-facilitate psychoeducational and life skills groups (as assigned) Support clients in developing recovery skills and maintaining daily structure Assist with intake, orientation, and discharge processes Document client interactions, incidents, and observations in accordance with agency policies De-escalate crises and respond appropriately to behavioral or medical concerns Collaborate with counselors, case managers, and clinical staff as part of the treatment team Experience High school diploma or GED required Experience working in substance use disorder treatment, behavioral health, or residential settings preferred Knowledge of recovery principles and trauma-informed care Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to maintain professional boundaries and ethical standards CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to pass background check and drug screening
