- Full-time Overview Aspire Healing Home is a licensed Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS) program providing person-centered, recovery-oriented mental health services to adults living with serious and persistent mental illness.
Our team is committed to helping individuals build independent living skills, improve mental wellness, and achieve their recovery goals in a supportive residential setting. Position Summary The Behavioral Health Practitioner (BHP) works as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team to provide rehabilitative mental health services that promote recovery, independence, and community integration. The BHP assists clients in developing coping skills, daily living skills, social supports, and emotional wellness while ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment. Responsibilities Provide rehabilitative mental health services in accordance with each client's Individual Treatment Plan (ITP). Facilitate and co-facilitate psychoeducational and recovery-based groups. Support clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including housekeeping, hygiene, meal preparation, medication reminders, and community living skills. Assist clients with community outings, appointments, recreation, and independent living skill development. Teach and reinforce coping skills, emotional regulation, communication, and problem-solving strategies. Monitor client behavior, mental status, and safety while documenting observations accurately and timely. Complete progress notes and required clinical documentation in compliance with Minnesota DHS standards. Collaborate with the Treatment Director, RN, Program Director, and interdisciplinary team. Maintain professional boundaries and provide trauma-informed, person-centered care. Respond appropriately during behavioral or mental health crises following agency policies. Qualifications Meet Minnesota DHS qualifications for a Behavioral Health Practitioner (BHP). Experience working with adults with serious and persistent mental illness preferred. Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record (preferred). Ability to pass a background study. Preferred Qualifications Experience in IRTS, ARMHS, CTSS, residential treatment, or community mental health. Knowledge of recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and person-centered care. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
