POSITION SUMMARY
Assists in the direct care & management of patients across all age ranges with medical & behavioral issues as directed by the treatment team. Assists with unit programming to facilitate the carryover of therapy issues, leisure activities, and activities of daily living within the functional ability of patients and with consideration for the patient's level of growth & development.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training:
High School diploma or equivalent or combination of education/experience. Prefer bachelor's degree or college courses in health care, mental health, recreational therapy, education, or human growth & development.
Experience:
One year's experience as a nurse's aide, mental health aide, psych aide, or the equivalent in a rehabilitation, psychiatric, or similar setting. Preferably, CNA, (Certified Nursing Assistant) RBT, (Registered Behavorial Technician) & BHT (Behavorial Health Technician)
Licensure/Certification:
Current North Carolina Driver's License Current CPR Certification (American Health Association Healthcare Provider)
CPI Certification Knowledge and Skills:
