Duties Offer peer support by sharing personal recovery stories to inspire hope and resilience Assist individuals in developing coping skills through motivational interviewing and mentoring techniques Respond effectively to crisis situations using crisis intervention and crisis management skills Collaborate with mental health professionals to coordinate care plans within electronic health record (EHR) systems Provide addiction counseling support and behavioral health education tailored to individual needs Support clients in navigating social services, community resources, and treatment options Document interactions accurately within EHR systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy standards Requirements Proven lived experience with mental health recovery or substance use recovery, serving as a peer supporter Certification as a Peer Support Specialist from an approved program or agency Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and crisis management strategies Strong understanding of behavioral health, mental health counseling, and addiction counseling principles Excellent mentoring, motivational interviewing, and active listening skills Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams using EHR systems effectively Flexibility to respond to urgent situations with professionalism and compassion Join us in creating a supportive environment where hope is restored and lives are transformed!
