Job Title:
Rehabilitation Technician (Rehab Tech)
Location:
Barnegat, NJ Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Rehabilitation Technician to join our team at a fast-paced outpatient orthopedic physical therapy practice. The ideal candidate will assist physical therapists in providing quality care to patients by performing therapeutic exercises, preparing treatment areas, and ensuring the clinic runs efficiently. This position requires a flexible schedule, including early morning, late evening, and weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist physical therapists during patient treatments and exercises, ensuring proper technique and safety. Prepare treatment areas, ensuring equipment and materials are ready for patient use. Guide patients through exercises and modalities as directed by the therapist. Maintain and clean therapy equipment and treatment areas. Ensure patient files and treatment logs are accurate and up-to-date. Provide administrative support as needed, including patient check-in and scheduling. Assist with patient education, offering information on exercises and general wellness. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. Support the team with any other duties as required to ensure optimal patient care.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in a health-related field is a plus. Previous experience in a rehabilitation, physical therapy, or healthcare setting is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time efficiently. Physical ability to assist patients and perform light lifting. Flexibility to work early mornings, late evenings, and weekends. Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care. CPR certification is preferred (or willingness to obtain).
