Provides direct supervision to a team of BHTs ensuring quality client care, staff training, and adherence to safety protocols withing a behavioral health setting. Leading and evaluating staff, assisting in crisis, intervention, managing daily activities and schedules. Collaborating with other workplace professionals to maintain a therapeutic and safe environment for clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees Behavioral Health Technician professionals. Manages all scheduling for reporting positions. Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations to a team of BHT's, conducting training and ensure adherence to policies and procedures. Communicates effectively with outside agencies Provides crisis intervention services as needed; determines appropriateness of emergency service calls, assist with de-escalation and maintain a safe and therapeutic environment. Manage daily activities, assign responsibilities, review shift reports, maintain client records, receiving and responding to grievances daily and prepare reports for management. Work closely with case management and other department staff. Assist with facility needs, such as inventory, ordering supplies, and coordination with food distributors.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum two (2) years as BHT or in a similar direct care role. - High School Diploma or equivalent, Associate's or Bachelor's degrees in related fields being preferred. Strong ability to lead, guide, and support a team of technicians Effective communication skills to interact with clients and staff A compassionate attitude and commitment to treating clients with dignity and respect. Ability to use independent judgement and initiative to address challenges and make decisions. Capacity to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations.
