Emergency Department Psychiatric Technician

Short Description:

Schedule:

36 hrs/week; may consider 48 hrs

Shifts:

D/E/N rotating schedule

Requirements:

Holidays, weekends, on-call, and call-back per unit needs

Dress Code:

Black scrubs required

Patient Ratio:

1:1 in the Main ED

Provide direct care and clinical support to inpatient psychiatric patients

Assist with ADLs, social, and psychiatric rehabilitation under RN direction

Communicate effectively with patients and ensure access to required services

Report patient condition changes to the RN

Participate in rounds and group therapy as needed

Requirements:

• 2 years of recent experience,
• BLS from AHA,
• AAS degree in psychology or sociology required.
