Job Description

Foundations Behavioral Health in Doylestown, PA provides innovative behavioral health treatment and academic excellence to children, adolescents and young adults ages 5 through 21 years, and specializes in programs designed to meet the needs of youth with autism spectrum disorders. Established in 1964, Foundations Behavioral Health provides treatment in a homelike environment located on a 12-acre campus in Bucks County, PA. We are hiring Mental Health Techs for full-time on evening shift (3p-11:30p) and part-time on day, evening, and night shifts (7am-3:30pm, 3pm-11:30 pm, 11p-7:30a) in our Acute Psychiatric Inpatient Hospitalization and Residential Treatment Program for youth with autism spectrum disorder. Both full-time and part-time positions require an every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) commitment and offer a benefits package. Our Mental Health Techs (MHT) provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, facilitating a therapeutic and safe milieu by following trauma-informed care practices for safe interactions with patients and residents, and ensuring the proper level of supervision is maintained.
Primary responsibilities include:
maintaining a safe and therapeutic milieu by following program schedules and behavior plans; utilizing appropriate crisis intervention and de-escalation skills; completing required clinical documentation; leading therapeutic group sessions; performing Q15 observation rounds; recording patient vital signs; assisting nurses with head-to-toe assessments; assisting patients and residents with activities of daily living when needed (brushing teeth, dressing, toileting, showering, etc.).
OVERTIME ELIGIBLE
There is opportunity for overtime on various shifts if interested. This position qualifies for a $6,000 ($4,000 for part-time) joining bonus! Must complete onboarding package within 7 days of job offer.

Full-time:
3pm
  • 11:30pm (40 hours/week, every other Saturday and Sunday rotation)
Part-time:
7am
  • 3:30p, 3pm
  • 11:30pm, 11pm
  • 7:30am (24 hours/week, every other Saturday and Sunday rotation) Candidates must be at least 21 years of age.

Must be at least 21 years old Option 1: Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in an area of human services, which includes, but may not be limited to the following: psychology sociology, political science, counseling, criminal justice, pastoral counseling, elementary/special education, or family therapy.
