Position Overview We are seeking a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to support clients receiving outpatient substance use disorder and behavioral health services. The BHT plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, supportive, and recovery-oriented environment while assisting clinical staff with day-to-day program operations. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about helping others, interested in behavioral health or addiction services, and committed to ethical and trauma-informed care. Key Responsibilities Support clients in daily program activities in accordance with individualized treatment plans Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment of care Observe and document client behavior, participation, and progress in accordance with program policies Assist clinicians with groups, educational sessions, and recovery-focused activities Provide appropriate crisis support and de-escalation under clinical supervision Ensure program rules, boundaries, and expectations are upheld respectfully Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with Pennsylvania regulations and agency policies Communicate effectively with clinical staff regarding client needs and concerns Uphold confidentiality and HIPAA standards at all times Model professionalism, empathy, and recovery-oriented values Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED Minimum 1 year experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, human services, or a related field (preferred but not required) Strong interpersonal, communication, and observational skills Ability to maintain professional boundaries and follow clinical direction Must pass all required background checks per
