Job Overview Join our behavioral health team as a Behavioral Health Technician, where you will play a vital role in supporting children with diverse behavioral health and developmental needs. Duties Providing 1:1 direct care to child with autism and other developmental disabilities across various settings (e.g., home, school, community) as needed. Implement therapeutic interventions focused on behavioral health and management, and developmental support. Collect data to monitor progress and inform care strategies. Utilize prevention and minimization strategies to manage challenging behaviors safely and effectively. Document all interactions accurately using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, special educators, and medical professionals to deliver comprehensive care. Experience Prior experience working with children or adolescents in behavioral health or educational settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodiverse conditions such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Strong skills in behavior intervention strategies, client communication, de-escalation techniques, and crisis intervention methods. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including youth and individuals with disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders.
