Innova Joy Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Administer medication to clients (Medication pass experience preferred) Deliver quality care to clients within a residential setting Provide supervision of clients while on shift Provide appropriate documentation as needed Work cooperatively with team members and the client in the provision of services to meet the goals developed in the treatment plan Lead various mental health therapy groups following a provided curriculum Be available in times of crisis or in intense situations Empathetic people who can hold loving and firm boundaries Creating and leading mental health groups
Competences:
Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills Motivation to grow and increase knowledge within the field Responsible working with minimal oversight Patient and compassionate with client's emotional and psychological needs Basic mental health understanding and an understanding of client's emotional, physical, and personal boundaries Team player Strong work ethic Responsible and able to work with minimal oversight Dependable and consistent in attendance for scheduled shifts Outgoing group leader Knowledge of evidence-based practices utilized in clinical interventions Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Record Knowledge of ethical code and requirements of mandated reporting
Minimum Qualifications:
Understanding of mental health practices (experienced) Prior residential experience preferred Certification as a Medical Assistant
  • MA (preferred), Certified Medication Aide
  • CMA (preferred), Certified Mental Health Technician
  • CMHT (preferred) Post high school medical education (para-professional nursing, medical, and/or technical) Licensed Vocational Nurse students, Social Work students, Psychology students First aid/C.
