Job Description

Responsibilities Under the general supervision of the Clinical Nursing Leader and the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse the Mental Health Tech provides patient observation and monitoring. These activities are carried out according to hospital policy, the hospital mission statement, and the philosophy of the Department of Nursing. Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION
High school graduate or equivalent; relevant experience in lieu of High School Diploma/GED education will be considered.
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE
Experience in an accredited healthcare facility with mental health patients preferred.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association. De-Escalation training within 90 days of hire.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
Accepts assigned responsibilities as an accountable member of the health care team. Proficient with data entry/computer skills for care documentation.
