The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the rehabilitation process for patients recovering from injuries or surgeries. This position requires a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as excellent patient service skills to ensure a positive experience for all patients in both outpatient and acute care settings. Responsibilities Assist occupational therapists and other healthcare professionals in implementing rehabilitation programs for patients. Prepare treatment areas and ensure all equipment is clean and functional. Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities to promote recovery. Monitor patient progress during therapy sessions, providing feedback to therapists as needed. Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and progress notes. Support patient mobility by assisting with transfers and ambulation as directed by the rehabilitation team. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures within the clinic or hospital environment. Skills Strong knowledge of orthopedics, anatomy, and physiology to effectively assist in patient care. Experience in a clinical or hospital setting, particularly in outpatient rehabilitation services. Excellent patient service skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards patients' needs. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and healthcare staff. Familiarity with acute care environments is preferred but not mandatory.
