Monitor patients' vital signs and overall health status to ensure safety and well-being during treatment sessions. Support crisis intervention efforts by managing challenging behaviors and de-escalating situations using approved crisis management protocols. Administer medications accurately following medical terminology guidelines and document all medication administration in medical records. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, special education staff, and medical professionals to develop individualized care plans. Maintain detailed and compliant medical documentation, ensuring all records adhere to HIPAA regulations and organizational policies. Collect data on patient progress to inform treatment adjustments and support behavioral health goals effectively. Work closely with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities, including those with autism or PTSD, providing compassionate patient care tailored to their unique needs. Engage in ongoing training related to crisis intervention, addiction counseling, behavior management, and applied behavior analysis to enhance service quality. Qualifications Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred. Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and crisis management strategies is essential for maintaining safety in high-stress situations. Familiarity with working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those requiring special education services is advantageous. Understanding of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and medical documentation practices is required. Strong skills in data collection, behavior management, and applied behavior analysis methods are necessary for effective client support. Ability to handle sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA regulations while maintaining confidentiality of medical records. Excellent communication skills for collaborating within multidisciplinary teams and engaging with clients compassionately.
