The CNM's are an integral part of a collaborative practice with the physicians of Comprehensive Women's Health that includes MD's and Advanced Practitioners.
Nature of Practice:
Call coverage to include a mix of days, nights and weekends at the hospital.
Offering Flexible schedules:
Hospital Only Office Only Hospital and Office hybrid schedule CNM's will also see return OB patients in the office setting. Specific Duties Treatment may include, but is not limited to: Low Risk Obstetric Care, including New OB, antepartum & post-partum. Basic primary care & treatment. Triage of OB and post-partum problems (managing care within scope of practice). Assisting at Cesarean Sections Making post-partum hospital rounds. Well Woman Care including annual GYN exams and minor GYN conditions within the scope of practice. Nutritional counseling in accordance with the patient's health problem. Diagnostic testing to include laboratory testing, x-rays, and imaging studies. Consultation and referral to physicians or other health care professionals. Experience Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and Midwifery program. Must have a current State of Florida Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License with a Certification in Midwifery from the American Midwifery Certification Board ( AMCB ). Must maintain BLS, NRP and current DEA license. Must have experience in medical management of labor and assisting with cesarean sections. Prefer a minimum of one year of experience. The ideal candidate is patient driven, enjoys working with a diverse population and is culturally sensitive.
